How are pods different from tanks?
Vape pods and vape tanks both operate in the same way, in which they hold e liquid and turn it into vapour. But there are some differences between the two. Tanks are often interchangeable due to their 510 thread which allows them to be screwed onto a range of various vape devices. Pods however are designed to slot into a specific device, so you need to make sure when you replace the pod on your pod vape kit, that you get one that fits your device. Another main difference is that tanks are designed to last a long time, whereas pods are often either single-use or have a limited lifespan. Pods are also usually made of plastic and are smaller and simpler to operate than a standard vape tanks which are typically larger, heavier as they are made of glass.

What are pre filled pods?
Pre-filled pods are designed for use with specific devices. They hold a coil and come already filled with liquid that’s compatible with the device it’s being inserted on to. These pods require zero maintenance because of their short lifespan. When the liquid is depleted, you can simply move onto a new pod and continue vaping as normal with your device. Although they’re by far the most convenient and easy to use, they can become quite costly, particularly if you’re a chain vaper.

What are refillable pods?
As the name suggests, these pods can be filled with an e liquid of your choice, giving you more freedom to change up your flavours and nicotine strengths when you wish. These pods are designed for use with specific pod kits, so it’s important to check your device’s compatibility with the pod when purchasing. They’re more cost-effective than a pre-filled e liquid pod, but will require additional maintenance such as switching up the coil (or the pod itself) on a regular basis.

How long will my vape pod last?
This will depend on what type of pod and device you have. Vape pods vary in size and have varying resistances in their coils, so their lifespan will depend on the materials used, their structure and the vape kit they’re being used with. The lifespan of the pod will also depend on the frequency you vape, as the coils inside the pod only have a limited lifespan.
